I haven't done an illustration Friday in a while,
pretty much because none of the topics have inspired me, but this one
is just so perfect!
"Me as Arthur," is what I have traditionally called it, but I still have yet to come up with an interesting title.
Great drawing! Scrolling down the blog, you don't seem to use pastels much - you should!
ReplyDeleteI still love this. :)
ReplyDeletehaha, thanks rickski
ReplyDeleteI'm glad the word inspired you. I don't even remember coming up with it! Awesome illo. It's so Arthur!!
ReplyDeleteGreat piece Matthew
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by.
ReplyDeleteThe piece took me about 2 hours from concept to finish. The cardboard was hard to work on with all those ridges fighting me. I'm not as happy with the result because of it. Oh well, next week is another illo!
Lovely drawing, and thanks very much for the observations on my blog.
ReplyDeleteYes, these fish do indeed swim in schools (especially if the school has provided an aquarium)(if not a swimming pool will have to do), where they are in invaluable aid to the literacy curriculum!
Nice piece ! Great work on the textures.
ReplyDeletegreat talent, well executed
ReplyDeleteGood drawing. You as Arthur :-)
ReplyDeleteReally wonderful illustration. Love the darkness feeling in the room.
ReplyDeleteI love his expression and the muted colors. You have wonderful work, here!
